Happy 90th Birthday to the incredible Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee. A true fan of J.R.R Tolkien’s work, he is the only member of the cast to have actually met and spoken to the professor, and to have his blessing to star (albeit as Gandalf) in a film adaptation. He gave the role of Saruman the perfect intensity, and had the commanding, powerful voice that haunts us still.

— Really great insight from R. Madden on Robb’s current mental state. That feeling he has no control; that everyone gets to cater to their impulses but he can’t; that he’s constantly bending to others… think that says a lot on why ShowRobb acted the way he did with Talisa. Finally he had a moment where he could express his own opinion, on his own life, and make a choice (for better or worse) in it.
